Victorian Era 1850s Natural Straw Woven Leghorn Spoon Poke Bonnet
This antique Victorian era natural straw woven leghorn spoon poke bonnet dates from 1850. It is made of a woven natural straw plaited braided basket weave style with a wired curved frame. This lovely leghorn straw summer bonnet has a poke spoon style with curving sides which come to a point at the bottom, a deep wide rounded front brim and is unlined. The bonnet measures 10 inches tall, 8 inches wide across the front opening, 27 inches around the front face opening and is 7 inches deep. It is in good condition with only a small separation on the back crown stitching. This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of early antique Victoriana wearable millinery art!
