Vtg John Wanamaker Red Straw Basket Weave Fascinator Fancy Half Hat w Bow, Pin

Description

Fancy vintage 1950's half hat, or fascinator, made of red-dyed straw and adorned with a big red bow and hat pin with a pink pearl head. I'm not sure if the pin originally came with the hat but that's how it was found at the estate sale and they seem to be a good match so we kept 'em together. The bow is wired so it can be positioned different ways. A small hair comb is attached to the underside. It's not very rigid so you will need hair pins to keep it in place.
This lovely hat was made by New York Creations and sold by the famous Wanamaker's Department Store in Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A.
