Description

Vintage 48 star replacement burial casket flag.
The box is from the Veterans Administration in Bay Pines Florida.
The letter is from the War Department, The Adjutant General's Office, dated March 12, 1945.
The Flyer, Revised November, 1941 accompanied the letter from the War Department.
The folder explains the issue and use of the enclosed flag.
The flag is stamped 3.52
" x 6'.69"  Valley Forge Flag Co.
The flag comes in the originial box that it was mailed in.
There are stains along the the fold lines from being folded so long in the box.
