Vintage Valerie Modes Beige Wool Beret Bow Snood Net Veil Hat
This vintage Valerie Modes beige wool beret bow snood net veil hat dates from the 1940s. It is made of a beige color wool felt fabric, with a sheer beige brown woven net veil covering the front face and back snood to hold the hair. This beautiful beret style women's snood hairnet hat has a light brown silk grosgrain ribbon trim bow on the back, is unlined and has a "Valerie Modes" label, "Merrimac Hat Corp. Excello 100% Wool" stamped inside. The hat measures 21 1/2 inches inside crown circumference. It is in excellent wearable condition. This is truly a wonderful sophisticated piece of wearable millinery art!
