This circuit produces the same tone as was used throughout the US in the 60's thru the 90's.
Fully assembled and calibrated dial tone generator for use with your vintage telephone. Using a readily available 12 volt "wall-wart" power supply, you can place this circuit inside your phone, and whenever you lift the receiver, you'll get an exact Bell System dial tone in the receiver. Makes your phone appear to be "live" even though it's not connected to the long-discontinued phone line.
Ideal for demonstrating the look and feel of your vintage phones in your collection. It adds to the realistic nature of your collection.
NOTE: Installation requires some simple wiring and soldering skills to properly install this on your vintage telephone.
Simple to wire-in: You provide a 12 volt plug-in power supply (you likely have several if you're into vintage electronics - commonly available on Ebay) and find a spot to install this circuit board (measures 3" x 2") inside or outside of your phone. The two outputs will wire to L1 and L2 (labeled RED and GREEN) inside your phone, connected to the line terminals on the network. Wrap the circuit in a plastic bag or paper, keep inside the phone, or install externally, and when powered up, lifting the receiver will produce the dial tone.
