This vintage Hattie Carnegie green satin pheasant feather casque cocktail hat & box dates from the 1950s. It is made of an emerald green satin fabric base covered with a variety of colorful feathers and pheasant tail feathers. This fabulous feathered casque style cocktail hat has a green satin bow trim on the front, long pheasant tail feathers cascading down the back, crown hugging side prong grips to keep the hat in place and is lined with a "Hattie Carnegie" designer label sewn inside. The hat measures 6 inches wide with 10 inch long pheasant tail feathers. It is in good condition, with a few molting, loose, missing feathers and faint discoloration on the inside lining. The hat comes in the original Hattie Carnegie Inc. pale blue round hat box with black silk rope cord strap and measures 5 inches tall, 11 inches wide. It is good condition with some water spot stains on the top lid. This marvelous Hattie Carnegie designer high fashion hat is truly a wonderful piece of millinery wearable art!
