Vintage 48 Star American National Flag made by the Dettra Flag Company bearing their "Bull Dog" trademark or brand.  This is a very large 4' 8" x 9' 2-ply moth proof cotton flag with finely embroidered stars manufactured 1940s-50's.  Another flag manufacturer (Annin), bought the Bull Dog name from Dettra when the company closed its doors in the late 1950's or early 60's.  The 48-star flag became official in 1912 following the addition of New Mexico and Arizona. It remained the official flag throughout WWI, WWII, and the Korean War, until Alaska gained statehood in 1959 and the 49th star was added (fyi).  Condition is very good there are a couple of fray spots upper right top and corner and some minor foxing plus fading with age.  This flag is big and means business!  We ship fast and FREE!  Contact us any questions we try our best and follow our store we focus on rare and unique.
