This vintage Andean Peruvian Bolivian chullo colorful alpaca wool knit earflap cap hat dates from the early 20th century. It is made of a colorful hand knit, dyed alpaca wool done in a decorative rainbow geometric stars chevron zig zag striped pattern and winged bird designs. This amazing Andean Peruvian, Bolivian chullo style knit winter stocking cap hat has earflaps for warmth, remnants of yellow tie straps to secure under the chin, a pink white pompom yellow tassel trimmed top point and is unlined. The hat is a small size measuring 11 inches long, 16 inches long including the earflaps, 8 1/2 inches wide across the bottom opening. It is in good condition, with broken frayed tie straps. This is a truly a wonderful piece of Andean hand knit textile wearable folk art!
