Vintage American BULLDOG BUNTING USA 49-Star Prize US Flag 3'x5' Special lot!
This is a special find! A prize vintage Bull Dog Bunting 49 Star flag from 1959. The flag was a prize from The Cleveland Press for some sort of contest they had. Alaska became the 49th state on 3 JAN 1959, so this would have been some sort of promotion/giveaway when Alaska became a state, and would have been one of the earliest 49 star US flags (relatively speaking). The winner of the flag was a Mr. Dennis Jedlinsky from Chardon, Ohio.
