Vintage 1950s 👰Bridal👰 Juliet Cap Hat Bird Cage Net Curvettes

For your consideration is this beautiful Corvettes hat produced most likely during the 1950s. This lovely piece is adorned with layered crocheted lace in an antique white color with white metal dots situated sparingly amongst the lace. There is cream colored bridcage netting which could be tied under the neck or pinned to the back side of the hat. The end of each netting side is a velvet tab with a small clear glass rhinestone. The rim of the main hat is also velvet. There is an inner cap that can be removed that is highly starched. Both the inner and outer cap has a wire edge that can be form fitted for your head. To form, you will want to lightly spritzed with water then form your your head or millinery form and let dry. There are two velvet bows on the pointed edge of the hat. I have lightly cleaned with dry cleaning solution, but age spots may still be found. I'm not certain of the hat's original intent, but wouldn't it be gorgeous paired with a veil and worn as a Juliet cap? I certainly think so.
