Vintage 1930s Hat Picture Black Velvet Beaded Trim Circle Tam

What a fabulous 1930s picture hat this is!!  The matching purse is on in the next auction to this.  It has matching beading and the same velvet.
The hat is made of soft, black, velvet which has been fashioned into a double circle or "doughnut" shape which is decorated with bronze colored carnival glass beading and black silk faille ribbons.  The hat sits on the head at whichever angle you wish to place it.  I put it on the mannequin in the most obvious place, the back of the crown.  However, it can be placed on the side or on the very top of the crown.  It is double layered and can "puff" out or lay quite flat depending up where you place it.  It is a giant tam with a hole in the middle for the crown of the head to peak through and can be puffed or flattened.
The label on the hat reads:  "Milinery Fashion Creator New York".  The silk ribbons fall from the back of the hat in a haphazard sort of a bow.  The beading on the front brim at the forehead depicts a flower measuring 6" across.  The hat label says it is a size 22", average.  The width of the hat measured brim to end is 6".  The hat measures 17" across the entire diameter including the hole in the middle.  And, the hat will puff up to 8" if you want.  It can be stuffed inside the channel, if you like, as well.
The condition is very good vintage.  There are no holes, rips or tears. No stains. The silk faille ribbon needs to be stitched back down along the inside of the brim in a couple of sections, a quick fix.  The black silk faille ribbon bow at the back needs to be ironed. No other issues.
