VICTORIAN BLACK JET BEAD WIRED CROWN / HEADPIECE W BLACK BEADED FEATHER DETAIL
DATING TO THE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY
ACQUIRED FROM A MUSEUM DE-ACCESSION
FASHIONED OF A WIRED BASE THAT IS COVERED IN CUT BLACK JET GLASS BEADS IN A VARIETY OF SIZE.
THE CENTER FRONT IS TRIMMED IN THREE JET BEAD FEATHERS WITH COLORED JEWELS AT THE SIDE FRONT AND REAR.
CONDITION
:  SOME ABSENT BEADING SEEN ALONG THE EDGE, EASILY REPLACED WITH JET BEADING.  THE CENTER FEATHERS HAVE LOST THE LACQUER AND NEW ENAMEL IS EASILY PAINTED ON TO HIDE.
