Victorian Antique Whitework Embroidery Lace Women's Bed Cap Morning Sun Bonnet
This Victorian era antique whitework embroidery lace women's bed cap morning sun bonnet dates from the early 19th century. It is made of a sheer fine white cotton batiste lawn fabric with hand embroidered whitework, French knots and lace ruffle trim edging. This lovely lace women's boudoir bed cap morning bonnet hat has a form fitting sun bonnet style with a small back curtain drape to cover the neck, adjustable drawstring gathering on the bottom back, tie straps with lace trim ends to secure under the chin and is sheer, unlined. The cap measures 8 inches tall, 7 inches deep and 17 inch around the front opening. It is in good condition, with only a few tiny frayed pin holes scattered. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana whitework wearable art!
