SO PRETTY! Vintage Christian DIOR Huge Pink Roses Hat Mad Hatter Black Velvet

So SO pretty!  A feminine vintage Christian Dior chapeau with 3 lush, huge pink roses.   Vintage is 1960s.  The hat is made of dense black velvet, a Mad Hatter style, with a deep crown and wide brim that has decorative top stitching so it holds its shape (not floppy).  Fully lined in black faille.   An exceptionally feminine and oh SO pretty chapeau!  Never before offered for sale, from a private collection here in Hollywood.  Label is Christian Dior Chapeaux New York Paris.  There is also a second label, Bonwit Teller, the upscale department store where the hat was purchased.  Pretty enough to display.  Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE:  I have been contacted by several lookers here on Ebay, trying to "correct" me on the dating for this hat.  They are wrong, (sorry but true) as this hat does indeed date to 1961-1962.   While The clothing line Miss Dior was not launched until 1967, the Miss Dior name was originally attached to perfume in the 1950s, and by 1961 it also was the label for a line of ready-to-wear hats designed and sold by the House of Dior.   If you still have doubts, you can find advertisements for Miss Dior hats in major fashion magazines of the day. Thank you
