Rare Vintage very real item
Original 48 Star American Flag with Stitched Stars and Stripes.
Wear and tear to be expected for a flag this old.
Some minor holes (probably moth) in blue background and stain on one white stripe.
Also the flag appears to have been affixed (incorrectly) at some point. I have take photos of those tabs in three spots across top.

The original rope and brass clasp and ring are intact!
I purchased this at an estate sale of the home of late Captain Edward O. Skidmore, USN (retired). (1922-1996)
