Pair 1884-1920 Leisy Brewery Peoria Beer Bottle Green Tint pre-prohibition 9.5"

Description

For sale are two 9-1/2” tall pre-prohibition glass beer bottles.  The pair of bottles are marked at the top shoulder, “Leisy” and on the opposite side, “Peoria, ILL.”  The bottles have a mild green tinted clear glass with minor liming.  See the attachment with a closeup of the most noticeable liming. The exterior of the bottles have slight case wear.  The bottles have no cracks, good necks with no flea bites, and no chips at the edges.  I consider the bottles to be in excellent collectable condition for pre-prohibition bottles; but, look at the pictures and judge for yourself.  Peoria's Leisy Brewery was founded in 1884 and remained in operation until the Prohibition Act of 1920. The Peoria brewery was later sold to the Premier Malt Company, which eventually became associated with the Pabst Brewing Company.  Note that this Peoria history applies to the Peoria brewery and may not apply to the Cleveland Leisy Brewery.  Great mild green pre-prohibition glass Leisy Brewery Peoria pair of bottles.
