    Description

RELISTED DUE TO A NON PAYING BIDDER. AN ORIGINAL, ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN ERA, TOQUE, HAT. A CHEESE CLOTH, TYPE FABRIC BASE, COVERED WITH WIDE, STRIPS OF LIGHT, GOLD,  MESH, EDGED WITH BLACK, STRAW, AND THREAD, TRIM. THE MESH IS ROLLED, AND LAYERED, HORIZONTALLY IN THE FRONT, WITH THE SAME BLACK TRIM, COVERING THE BLACK, SILK, ON THE BOTTOM OF THE HAT. THE HAT IS ADORNED WITH GREEN, AND PINK, STRAW ACCENTS IN THE FRONT, A TWO TONE GRAY OSTRICH FEATHER, AND TWO LARGE, FLUFFY, BLACK OSTRICH FEATHERS. THE HAT IS LINED WITH BLACK COTTON, AND HAS IT'S ORIGINAL LABEL WHICH READS: DINES, POMEROY, STEWART HARRISBURG, PA. THE CONDITION IS VERY GOOD OVERALL. THE GRAY FEATHER HAS A BROKEN OFF TIP,  AND LOSES. THE MESH STRIPS ARE NOT STITCHED DOWN. THEY ARE OPEN ON THE SIDES. I THINK THIS IS THE WAY THE HAT WAS MADE, OR POSSIBLY THE THREAD DETERIORATED. THE END OF THE BLACK, TRIM IN THE BACK OF THE HAT IS LOOSE, AND JUST NEEDS RESTITCHED. AND A 1/2" TEAR, IN A MESH STRIP ON THE CROWN. A STUNNING HAT!
