  • Condition: New old stock. Because they are at last 60 years old, some of the feathers may be detaching from the backing (could be reglued). Staple for inventory tag is present near the pad end. No obvious damage, no obvious fading but there may be light wear proportional to age.

    Description

    New Old Stock millinery feather trims, early 1900's (1920's- 1940's). Uses: hats, pins, dress trim, hair accessories, fascinators, cocktail hats.
    These feather coque pad trims are constructed of feathers that are adhered together onto a fabric backing.
    They are in very good unused condition but may need to be re-pasted before use due to the age of the glue.
    As these pieces are hand made, some variance in shape, size and feather pattern is present between each piece, however all are matching and can be used together.
    Some of the pads have inventory tags still attached on the back with staples, some do not.  All still have a staple at the round end.
    Approximate measurements: 4 3/4" long, 3" wide at the widest point.
