Framed Antique 13-Star Coarse Glazed Cotton American Parade Flag

This item is a framed antique 13-Star Coarse Glazed Cotton American Parade Flag. The flag itself measures: 1-7/8" x 3" and the staff is 6".  Made to celebrate our nation's centennial of independence in 1876, the flag has a medallion pattern canton that consists of a large center star, surrounded by a wreath of eight stars, with a flanking star in each corner. This was a popular centennial design. It is mounted in a nice early Tan and Gold wood frame which measures: 6 -3/4" wide by 8-3/4" high. The Flag and Frame are in good condition with only some very minimal red dye bleed from being rolled up at production time.
I have added a picture to my sale of the original wrapper which is not for sale and is just included to document the early production of this flag. This is not one of the similar recent reproductions being sold. Thanks.
