Civil War Era Clothing like "Miss Pittipat's" Original Black Mourning Shawl, Bonnet & Parasol 150+ years old. These were purchased in middle TN the 1980's & have been on display ever since.
Yes, they do have dust on them. Included is a photograph of a Civil War lady in mourning wearing a very similar outfit, including the Parasol. The parasol does have splits in it when opened. I'm not sure if this is original to the item or a result of its age. The shaft does break down in the middle & and folds. The bonnet wraps over the head and has long tails hanging down for tying under the chin. The shawl is full length as seen in the first photo. This is a wonderful complete outfit that is over 150 years old. Please enjoy it as we have,
