Black Mourning Ribbon
for
Half Staff Flag
It is difficult (if not impossible) to display your
house or porch flag at half-staff.
Because of the length of flag staff,
or the existence of obstructions such
as shrubbery or a balcony.
An acceptable patriotic display of mourning is
to use a black ribbons attached at top of the pole
or just below the final or ornament at the
top of the pole.
I am making a ribbon for such a purpose.
The ribbon is made of lightweight polypropylene
which has excellent UV protection,
and does not absorb water easily.
The best way to describe it, like a seatbelt materiel.
It will serve you for many years.
The ribbon also come with a brass grommet
and a D ring clip for ease of use.
