ANTIQUE VTG EDWARDIAN MAUVE WOVEN STRAW BATTENBURG LACE WIDE BRIM HAT

Description

This is a gorgeous Antique Edwardian Mauve hat of Woven Straw in a battenburg Lace pattern. It has a Wide Brim and is also woven of the same battenburg lace. A vintage velvet burgundy rose and matching mauve ostrich feather complete this Edwardian era hat. It is lined in a lovely peachy vintage crepe fabric that compliments the mauve with a tantalizing effect. (Note: there is a stain on the lining which I have not tried to clean) This 120+ year old hat was coming apart at the seams in the crown and I restored it to the original condition, the only things I replaced was the feather and the rose using a vintage velvet vintage rose of new old stock.The original lining is in tact which is rare for a hat of this age. I can't say enough positives about this hat! I will let the photos speak for themselves as they are a good portion of the description. I am sure it will not disappoint the buyer!
The overall size; CROWN is 3.5" high, 21 1/4" inside crown circumference and total diameter is 22.5"
