    This is a lovely antique victorian derby style hat.  I believe this hat is worn to the front of the forehead with hair pulled up behind it.   It maybe even be used for horseback riding.   The hat measures about 19” around the inside of the brim, about 7” long on the inside of the brim and about 5” wide on the inside of the hat.  The hat measures about 9” long, about 7 1/4” wide and about 4” tall.  The hat is made from brown velvet with dark brown trim, and a sprig of pink fabric roses partially around the brim of the hat.  The roses may need a few stitches.  The hat has loose threads on the inside of the hat that probably needs to be removed or restitched or they could be removed and new stitches put in their place.    This hat was purchased from an estate with many other treasures.    This amazing antique Victorian Derby Style hat appears to be in good used antique condition, except as noted and is offered as is.
