    Description

    Precisely made, but not fussy
    Victorian-Era Black Mourning Poke Bonnet
    from mid to late 1800s. Made of fine, polish black cotton chintz with brown chintz lining. Tie-back ribbons are delicate and have wear consistent with age, see photos. Front to back across top: approx. 10 inches. Overall length: 17.5 inches. Smoke-free environment for at least 64 years. No mildew odor. Photographed in natural light. Laundering not recommended. Questions welcome.
