Antique Scandinavian Red Paisley Print Embroidered Lace Trim Folk Bonnet Hat Cap
This antique Scandinavian red paisley print embroidered lace trim folk bonnet hat cap dates from 1900. It is hand stitched, made of a red cotton colorful floral boteh paisley print fabric with redwork embroidery geometric decorative designs linen trim edging hanging down from one side, off white lace trim along the front backed in red wool and linen lined with black whip stitching decorating the front edging. This traditional Scandinavian folk costume bonnet hat has a small skull cap style for wearing on the back of the head, linen tie straps for securing under the chin, layered fabric details and is fully lined in a linen fabric inside. The cap measures 7 inches tall, 9 inches wide and is 6 inches deep. It is in excellent condition. This is a truly a wonderful piece of wearable Scandinavian millinery folk art!
