    Description

    Hello and thank you for looking at our eBay store and hope you enjoy what is being offered for sale.
    Listed here today for your viewing and purchase is this "as new" Victorian / Edwardian era velvet ladies mourning bonnet.
    The black on the velvet and ribbons has not faded at all.  This bonnet has been stored away for at least one hundred years, in my estimation.
    It does not appear to have ever been worn, but bought and stored away "just in case."
    I did not have a model to display it, and I had a very difficult time modeling it in a way to show to you how lovely it truly is.
    I do not know what size it is.
    It has long black ties and the rosettes on either side of the bonnet is made of the same ribbon. The ribbon is not satin, but other than that, I do not know what material it is comprised of.
    The interior of the bonnet is lined, and the gathering stitches pulling it together in the center back of the bonnet are hand stitched, gathered.
    While it may appear that the back seam on the interior lining of the bonnet appears ripped, it is my personal opinion that it was left this way to "give" a little according to the woman's head size, so that it will "give" a little and not tear if her head happened to be on the larger side.
    No unpleasant odors.
    No wear whatsoever.  It is in unused condition, having no moth holes or damage of any kind.
