    Description

    Here is a really scarce find for the millinery collector.  Genuine antique and still in the original packaging.  DeLeon Bandeau, to insert inside the interior of your hat to make it fit the head.   Adjustable, "No Sewing Needed".  A double metal ring covered in black silk with tiny steel tips and a silk bow.  These are invaluable to re-sizing an antique hat, and to find one in it the original packaging is really nice.  Thanks for looking!

    IMPORTANT NOTE:  I have been contacted by several lookers here on Ebay, trying to "correct" me on the dating for this hat.  They are wrong, (sorry but true) as this hat does indeed date to 1961-1962.   While The clothing line Miss Dior was not launched until 1967, the Miss Dior name was originally attached to perfume in the 1950s, and by 1961 it also was the label for a line of ready-to-wear hats designed and sold by the House of Dior.   If you still have doubts, you can find advertisements for Miss Dior hats in major fashion magazines of the day.
