This was one of the last missions of the 4th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron which was made inactive the following month. It was active 1941-1949; 1966-1971; and 2009-2014. The roles of the 4th Expeditionary Recon Squadron were mostly during war time WW2, Vietnam War and Afghanistan War.
