  • Condition: Came from a local Colorado estate. Photo is of a young black man probably 14 to 18 years of age that worked with a mule team and wagon. Looks to be a mine in the foothills with railroad tracks running in front of the building. Cedar or Pinon trees in the background. This could be a coal or hard rock mine. Age wear to the card stock and picture. Photo itself measures approx. 7" x 5" and the card stock measures approx. 10" x 8". Crack in the center bottom of the picture as seen in the last photo and wear to the edges of the photo. Name written on the back in pencil that is hard to make out but it might be Alfred Nelson but not totally sure on the first name. Great hard to find photo subject matter.
