49 Star 5'x8' United States flag made by the Dettra Flag Co. Hi-Fli, Gov. Type b, and cotton bunting. This flag is till in the original box. Never been out of the box except for the pictures. I consider it new.
Comes with the Certificate of Guarantee which looks like to be printed in May 1958? and also comes with Our National Flag booklet and looks to be printed in Feb 1959?
Flag does have some discoloring mainly on the white areas.
Box looks to be in excellent shape for how old it is. Flag/box has a slight musty smell from being stored for the last 62 years.

These 49 star flags may have been made for only about 6 months if that due to Hawaii becoming the 50 state shortly Alaska.
