    I'm pretty sure it's not
    16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham - perhaps a church in Selma, Alabama?) - probably at some Civil Rights event. The white speaker looks a LOT like Alabama "new south" Governor Jim Folsom Jr. - Governor from 1993-1995 - and the verso says James F______. Rep. John Lewis stands to his right (in the photo).
    Folsom is notable for having ordered the Confederate Flag removed from the state capitol during his all too brief term of office and his appointment of many African Americans to cabinet positions.
    Photo is blind stamped Clifford Hunter - Hunter's Photos. I found one mention of him online where he contributed a photo (NOT this one) to EBONY magazine in 1997, hence my approximate date for this photo - based on that 1997 date but maybe a bit more so on Gov. Jim Folsom Jr.'s term of office.
