    Description

At 75 I’m a retiring antique dealer who is beginning to clean out his stock of stored treasures.
For about forty years I was a pretty fanatical collector of early American flags and lots of other patriotic flag collectibles.
I was honored to have a great collection of them, but I always knew that I was only their custodian for a while and eventually it would be time to move them on to their next owner.
This 44-star flag from the time of Wyoming’s admission in 1891 is most unusual with its 5-6-5-6-5-6-5-6 star configuration.
In my experience, most 44-star flags have the stars in six rows and not eight.
I don’t recall that I’ve ever had another with this configuration.
Only a connoisseur of collecting our national banner will appreciate this difference, but it is a very scarce one in my experience.
Buyer to pay shipping within the United States.
Due to ebay policies, I reluctantly have a “no returns” policy, so look closely at photos and ask questions first.
